PEDOPHILE DEFENDER OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, BILL DONOHUE, PRESIDENT OF THE CATHOLIC LEAGUE CALLS HIS HOLY FATHER, POPE FRANCIS A LIAR!!!

Self-admitted drunk Bill “Pig Face” Donohue of the Catholic League doing what he does best. Defending the Roman Catholic Churches Pedophile Pimps and Pedophiles while attacking the victims and survivors and blaming them for their rapes. And homosexuals of course. But we all know that Bill is a closeted homosexual and a pedophile.

Bill Donohue states again and again, that there is not a pedophile problem in the Roman Catholic Church, that this is a homosexual problem.

So in essence, with Bill Donohue stating this…he is calling Pope Francis, his Holy Father…A LIAR!!!!

Pope Francis: ‘One in 50’ Catholic priests, bishops and cardinals are paedophiles

So Bill…you pig faced scumbag defender of the Pedophiles of the Roman Catholic Church…you are calling your Pope a liar…and you should now shut the fuck up.

No Bill, instead get down on your knees, remove Cardinal Timothy Dolans shriveled little penis from your cock suckers mouth, and say 1 MILLION Our Fathers and 1 MILLION Hail Mary’s….then do you good deed…suck off Dolan and swallow his sacred sacrament…you disgusting, scumbag degenerate defender.

Enjoy your eternity in hell Bill and Dolan…you both deserve it.

First off because Bill Donohue says that if a priest rape victim did not punch his offending priest in the face while he was raping them, then that means not only did they want to be raped, they enjoyed being raped and are homosexuals for it. So this is the scenario I play in my head if one of Bill Donohue’s daughters got raped and did not defend herself against her rapist attacker:

Let me twist this around for you and Bill Donohue of the Catholic League:

Bill loves to say about us priest rape victims, that if we did not punch our offending child rapist priest in the mouth when they were raping us, then that means we not only wanted to be raped, we enjoyed being raped and we are homosexuals for it.

Well Bill…here is the conversation I imagine and I also imagine you would have, with your daughters if one of them got raped.

Bill to his daughter: “You got raped? Did you not punch your rapist in the face? Did you not try to get away?”

Daughter: “Why daddy, he was much bigger than I am, He was much more powerful than I am. I could not punch him in the face for what he was doing to me. I was frightened out of my wits. Daddy he was raping me, what could I do?”

Bill: “So you did not punch your rapist in the face, nor did you fight back?”

Daughter: :Daddy, can’t you understand, I was frightened, I was scared, he was raping me, he was twice my size, how could I have beaten him up daddy?”

Bill: “Get out of my house you whore, you harlot. You did not punch your rapist in the face because you wanted to be raped, you enjoyed being raped, and you are evil because of it. You disgust me now get out of my house, you whore.”

Bet you would say the same to your son or daughter if they were raped wouldn’t you?

Would YOU also tell them to turn the other cheek? Would you tell them that they should not prosecute their rapist because that would be so anti-Catholic and anti-Christian? Or would you feel deep down inside your soul….if you have one…to want to go out and blow the brains out of the rapist? Would you demand the prosecution of the rapists of your daughters…or would you just tell them to shut their mouths, forgive them and turn the other cheek like you do to priest and nun abuse victims? Is it ONLY priest and nun abuse victims whom should forgive their rapists and abusers? I mean you demand that teachers whom rape the..according to your bogus estimates…400,000 children…deserve to be prosecuted and put into prison, so please explain to us Bill Donohue, defender of this evil…why should NOT the Popes, Cardinals, Bishops and Archbishops whom covered up these crimes, or the priests and nuns whom committed these crimes against us…be exempt from the same demands you place on others?

So like you use bully tactics against us survivors of priest rape and nun abuse saying your attacks are protected under the First Amendment Free Speech right, I have every right to do the same to you, you disgusting, sorry excuse for a human being.

So be ready Bill. On this one page I am going to expose you for whom and what you are. A psychotic, punked assed bully.

Abuse victim of Opus Dei priest wants case to be acknowledged

Abuse victim of Opus Dei priest wants case to be acknowledged
By Ines San Martin

ROSARIO, Argentina – On June 30, Father Manuel Cociña, a Spaniard, became the first priest belonging to the personal prelature of Opus Dei to be found guilty and sentenced by the Vatican of sexual abuse. He has 15 days to appeal, though sources have told Crux he’s not planning on doing so since appeals usually end worse for those found guilty.

Cociña, 72, was found guilty of molesting one young man, who was 18 when the abuse began in 2002. He’s been sentenced to five years of suspended ministry. He’ll have to spend the time in prayer in the residence where he lives, and after that, when he’s allowed back to ministry, he won’t be able to have contact with people under 30.

His victim was an Opus Dei member at the time of the abuse. Today he lives in Chile, is married, and remains a Mass-going Catholic. He spoke first with a Spanish news outlet and then with Crux, not out of “animosity towards the Church, nor the Work,” he said on Wednesday, using the colloquial term for Opus Dei, which is Latin for “Work of God.”

“What I want is for my case to become public so the Catholic Church in Spain, and Opus Dei there, can move forward in abuse prevention and transparency, as has happened in Chile,” said the survivor, who will be called “Lucas” to protect his identity.

“Eight years ago, the Catholic Church in Chile blew up because of the Karadima case,” Lucas said. “Maybe the same can happen here.”

The reference is to Fernando Karadima, the country’s most notorious pedophile priest, who was expelled from the priesthood by Pope Francis after the Vatican sentenced him to a life of penitence and prayer.

When Francis visited Chile in 2018, he accused Karadima survivors – James Hamilton, Juan Carlos Cruz and Jose Andres Murillo – of “calumny” for asserting that Chilean Bishop Juan Barros, a protégé of Karadima, had covered up for his mentor.

Three months later, and after sending two top-notch investigators to Chile, the pontiff made a 180 degree turn.

He summoned all of Chile’s bishops to Rome, and they handed in their resignations; he publicly apologized to survivors; and he began purging the Chilean church, with several bishops replaced in less than a year, some removed from the priesthood, and several famous priests expelled for having abused minors.

Lucas, who decided to lodge a formal allegation against Cociña after the pope’s visit, believes much has improved since then. In Santiago, the country’s capital, there’s an office that tends to victims, OPADE, and protects those who make allegations. In his own case, they’ve covered his bills for both legal counsel and a psychologist.

“Everything is support and transparency,” Lucas said regarding his experience in Chile.

In Spain, however, he said he’s struggled. He first spoke to his spiritual director about the abuses almost a decade ago, yet Crux has confirmed that Cociña was transferred several times even after the allegation was made against him.

Cociña worked in high schools, seminaries and was even the rector of the Basilica of San Miguel, run by Opus Dei in Madrid. He was transferred to the basilica in 2002, a date Lucas remembers because it was “after the canonization of Escriva,” meaning, after the founder of Opus Dei was declared a saint earlier that year.

Two years later, Cociña was “quietly transferred” to Galicia, a province in northwestern Spain. Lucas said that move is especially worrying because “it happened after Boston,” meaning after clerical abuse allegations blew up in the United States.

“What enrages me is that this man has been abusing young men for 30 years throughout Spain, and the Work moved him from one place to the other,” Lucas said. “He’s been condemned for my case, because I’m the one who’s formally charged him. But this is not about my case, it’s about his life. And the lives he might have ruined.”

After Lucas made his allegation public in 2019 by speaking with a Spanish journalist, Opus Dei released a statement, acknowledging that in August 2018, the prelature in Spain had received from Chile an accusation of sexual abuse against Cociña.

The statement also said that less than a month later, and at the direct order of Monsignor Fernando Ocariz, the head of Opus Dei, a preliminary investigation was ordered. By Oct. 1, 2018, the priest had been restricted in his pastoral ministry, being banned from talking to people under 30, and restricted to the center where he lives.

By December 2018, the file was at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the Vatican office that handles allegations of sexual abuse by priests. It was this office that ruled on June 30 that the priest had been found guilty.

The sentence was communicated to Lucas, but no formal statement has been made. Furthermore, a representative of Opus Dei reportedly told Lucas that no statement should be expected, because his case “wasn’t that big … Cociña is no McCarrick or Karadima,” meaning, ex-cardinal Theodore McCarrick, the former Washington archbishop found guilty of abuse and removed from the priesthood by Francis.

“I’m very glad with the fact that there’s a sentence, because it means that what happened is finally acknowledged,” Lucas said. “At times, I felt I was crazy, that I was making it up. The sentence is small: Five years suspended and five more years locked in his center. But I haven’t seen the sentence, and I’ve received no institutional call from Opus Dei confirming it.”

“The person who told me was the man appointed by the prelate, who’s a lovely person and who’s been nothing but helpful and forthcoming, but who told me ‘This is canon law, you don’t have a right to the sentence, nor right to know who said what’,” Lucas said.

“The accused and I are not on even footing: I notify the Church of the abuse, and it’s the Church [Opus Dei] that canonically makes the accusation [to the CDF],” he said. “I know there are other accusers in the case against Cociña.”

Lucas has filed no civil complaint because of the statute of limitations.

What he’s been told is that sentence is 16 pages long and that it does, in fact, include other people who were reportedly molested by the priest.

“I’m not going to change canon law,” Lucas said dejectedly. “But what I want is for Opus Dei to release a statement saying ‘this person has been found guilty,’ as they did when the allegation was made.”

“I want a statement to be made, not because I’m obsessed with this story being in the media, but because some people know who I am. There are people in Spain who know I made the allegations, and I want for it to be publicly acknowledged: I didn’t lie, I’m not a crazy man who did this out of hatred of the Work.”

Cociña has 15 days to appeal the sentence, and until he formally decides not to do so, the sentence is not considered definitive. Until then, Opus Dei cannot publicly address the issue.

Time For Vigilantist Justice Against Roman Catholics

Disturbing Report Uncovers Alleged Child Sex Abuse in Fiji’s Catholic Schools

https://friendlyatheist.patheos.com/2020/07/13/disturbing-report-uncovers-alleged-child-sex-abuse-in-fijis-catholic-schools/

Over the weekend, New Zealand’s TV 1 News aired a disturbing report about Catholic priests allegedly abusing children on the island nation of Fiji. One of the victims said on camera that when he attended a Catholic school, priests would lure boys up to their bedrooms using candy and oranges (rare treats), then sexually assault them.

But where did these priests come from? That’s the kicker: Many of them were kicked out of the Catholic Church in New Zealand and Australia because they were accused of sexual abuse. Instead of moving them to another local parish, as we’ve seen in the U.S., some of them went to Fiji, where they found new victims in a culture that reveres men of God.

Catholic Church a big winner in US’s huge Covid-19 cash giveaway

https://www.patheos.com/blogs/thefreethinker/2020/07/catholic-church-a-big-winner-in-uss-huge-covid-19-cash-giveaway/

New York Diocese spokesman Joseph Zwilling airily suggested that the RCC simply took what was rightfully theirs, and just wanted to be ‘treated equally and fairly under the law.’

Many of the millions handed to the RCC, according to the Religious News Service, went to dioceses that have paid huge settlements or sought bankruptcy protection because of clergy sexual abuse cover-ups. And one beneficiary was a treatment centre for Catholic paedophile priests which received a loan of between $350,000 to $1 million.

An Associated Press analysis of federal data released this week found that the church’s haul may have reached – or even exceeded – $3.5 billion, putting it among the biggest winners in the US government’s pandemic relief efforts.

Time for these scumbags to pay for their Crimes Against Humanity and their Crimes Against the Children of the World.

If the courts, judges, and legislative bodies will not do what is right?

THEN ALL VICTIMS AND ALL SURVIVORS SHOULD RISE THE FUCK UP AND TAKE THE LAW INTO THEIR OWN HANDS AND START HUNTING DOWN THESE FUCKING ROMAN CATHOLIC PEDOPHILES, THEIR PEDOPHILE PIMPS AND ANY SCUMBAG, LIKE SAY BILL DONOHUE OF THE CATHOLIC LEAGUE, WHO DEFENDS THESE SCUMBAGS AND ATTACK THE VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS?

SHOULD ALL BE PUT ON THEIR FUCKING KNEES AND FUCKING EXECUTED.

IF THE COURTS WILL NOT DO WHAT IS RIGHT? IF THE LAW WILL NOT DO WHAT IS RIGHT? THEN WE THE SURVIVORS AND VICTIMS MUST TAKE THE LAW INTO OUR OWN HANDS.

TIME TO HUNT DOWN THESE PERVERTED PEDOPHILE SCUMBAG ROMAN CATHOLICS AND PUT THEM ON THEIR FUCKING KNEES AND GIVEN A FULL FRONTAL LOBOTOMY.

Pope wants to ban indifference, self-centredness, division and forgetfulness — Your NZ

This head Pedophile Pimp, Pope Francis? Should be dragged out of the Vatican, along with all the rest of his fellow Pedophile Pimp Cardinals, Bishops and Archbishops who covered up for their disgusting pedophiles, protecting them over the children of the church, and by their actions of protecting these pedophiles? These Pedophile Pimps committed Crimes Against Humanity and Crimes Against the Children of the World. And they all should be put on their knees in St Peter’s Square and a bullet put in the back of the heads of each and every one of them. If we put down rabid dogs who bite out children? How much more should we put to death scumbag Pedophile Pimps and Pedophiles of the Unholy Roman Catholic Cult of Pedophile Pimps, Pedophiles and the Pew Polishers who all love, defend and protect them and proclaim them all Holy Men of God, while they continue to offer their children to be sacrificed on the altars of Roman Catholic pedophiles and pedo pimps.

Saint Pope Pius V: Constitutionn Horrendum Illud Scelus: Death Penalty for Roman Catholic Pedophiles

So that the contagion of such a grave offense may not advance with greater audacity by taking advantage of impunity, which is the greatest incitement to sin, and so as to more severely punish the clerics who are guilty of this nefarious crime and who are not frightened by the death of their souls, we determine that they should be handed over to the severity of the secular authority, which enforces civil law.
Therefore, wishing to pursue with greater rigor than we have exerted since the beginning of our pontificate, we establish that any priest or member of the clergy, either secular or regular, who commits such an execrable crime, by force of the present law be deprived of every clerical privilege, of every post, dignity and ecclesiastical benefit, and having been degraded by an ecclesiastical judge, let him be immediately delivered to the secular authority to be put to death, as mandated by law as the fitting punishment for laymen who have sunk into this abyss.

Cathechism of the Roman Catholic Church, Part Three: Life in Christ; Section Two: The Ten Commandments; Chapter Two: You Shall Love Your Neighbor As Yourself; Article Six: The Sixth Commandment; OFFENSES AGAINST CHASTITY:

2356 “Rape is the forcible violation of the sexual intimacy of another person. It does injury to justice and charity. Rape deeply wounds the respect, freedom, and physical and moral integrity to which every person has a right. It causes grave damage that can mark the victim for life. It is always an intrinsically evil act. Graver still is the rape of children committed by parents (incest) or those responsible for the education of the children entrusted to them.”

Accused, Betrayed, Denied, Forsaken — A Christian Worldview of Fiction

During Passion Week, we Christians commemorate the great sacrifice Jesus made for us, giving His own life in order that we might experience newness of life.

Accused, Betrayed, Denied, Forsaken — A Christian Worldview of Fiction

Two points to make on this one

Point One

Our local bus goes to the local Roman Catholic Church parking lot to pick up and drop off people. Well on Wednesday we are going through and all those rich Roman Catholics were blocking off the bus to walk over to a table to pick up their Palm Leaves. They all thought their shit did not stink and hey, you little peons on the bus can wait for us uppity rich Catholics.

We on the bus were all voting for the bus driver to take their foot off the brake and run over one particularly stuck up rich privileged woman who thought her shit did not stink and looked at us in the bus as she walked her ass slowly to the table and then back to her big, black SUV that she had blocked the bus with.

Dumb ass bitch thinks their shit does not stink while they attend a church where two priests were busted for raping over 400 kids in our town and local areas and these same scum defended these pedo priests and their church over their own children who were victims of their pedo priests.

Fuck them all.

Point Two

How about all the children and teens betrayed by your Pedophile Pimps still in power whom if they cared more about the victims and survivors over the reputation of the church and protected the victims over the pedophile rapists? Would not have been raped.

How about all the victims and survivors denied justice by your Church hiding behind statute of limitations, bankruptcy and sovereign immunity laws to get away with their crimes?

What about all the accused victims and survivors, accused as liars and gold diggers out looking to get a payday from the church, by pew polishers and defenders of the Church? Accused of being homosexuals because they did not punch out their rapist pedophile male priests by the leaders and pew polishers of the Church? Accused of being a seducer of their rapist pedo priests by the leaders and pew polishers of the church?

Or how about all the victims and survivors forsaken? Like the thousands of victims rotting in their graves because they committed suicide? Or the skeletal remains of infants and children thrown away like garbage in the septic tank of the Taum Irelands Woman’s and Children’s Homes or all the other forgotten and forsaken mass unmarked graves at these Homes? Or the forgotten and forsaken hundreds of thousands of victims and survivors of the Roman Catholic Industrial Schools and Homes, their Magdalene and Good Shepherd Laundries and their Women’s and Children’s Homes. Who live their lives in daily horrors, whose perpetrators of the crimes against them are called holy men and women of god, while they are insulted, denigrated, defamed by the leaders and pew polishers of the Church?

Or all the victims and survivors stuck in alcoholism and drug addiction to forget the demons of the church who ruined their lives? Existing on disability that barely keeps them alive, while all those who committed these crimes against them? Are even given a life wage. And when they die? Are even proclaimed Saints, while the victims and survivors with the courage and guts and balls to speak out about the crimes committed against them? Demand justice? Are branded the evil, satanic demons out to destroy the church, or who do nothing but lie and hate the church. We hear this all the time from the Defenders and the Leaders and the Pew Polishers of the Unholy Roman Catholic Cult of Pedophile Pimps, Pedophiles, Child Enslavers and Child Murderers and the Pew Polishers who get down on their knees before them, offering their own children as a sacrifice on the altar of pedophilia, while condemning their own children and even throwing them out of the house if they become a victim of these pedos.

Forgotten and forsaken are the hundreds of thousands of victims and survivors denied justice for the crimes committed against them by the pedo pervert priests, brothers, nuns and sisters, by the church hiding behind the statute of limitations or sovereign immunity laws to get away with their Crimes Against Humanity and the Children of the World.

And then? The Roman Catholics get pissed at any victim or survivor who DARES speak out against them, demanding true justice. Or state that if we put rabid dogs down who bite children? How much more should we put to death those scumbag Pedo Pimps and Pedo priests who did a whole lot more than bite children.

NO, victims and survivors are supposed to do all to their rapists, their pedophiles, the church who protected them and attacked us when we came out, to be more “Christian” to them than they are “Christian” to us. It is we victims and survivors who are supposed to forgive our rapists, the leaders who protected them, and attacked us, and made us the demons, and the pew polishers who defended the church over us and attacked us for DARING to speak out.

No, it is we who are supposed to turn the other cheek, to pray for those who raped us, tortured us, brutalized us, beat us, enslaved us, and murdered us. It is we who are supposed to once again? Believe in a god and a Jesus and a Church that raped us, tortured us, brutalized us, beat us, enslaved us and murdered us, and the pew polishers and all the leaders? Then play the Satanic scapegoat games of it either being homosexuals, or atheists, or demons invading their churches doing this. BULLSHIT. Oh yeah, and hey, they should not pay for their crimes against us and if we fight that? That just means we all are haters of the RCC and are just again? Gold diggers out looking for a payday from the church.

So fuck their god, fuck their Jesus, fuck their Palm Sunday, fuck their Easter. Each and every day?

ALL ROMAN CATHOLICS? PROVE THE COMPLETE AND UTTER LIE AND HYPOCRISY OF THEIR DEMONIC CULT OF PEDOPHILE PIMPS, PEDOPHILES AND THE PEW POLISHERS WHO LOVE AND DEFEND THEM AS HOLY MEN OF GOD WHILE ATTACKING US RAPED, BEATEN, ENSLAVED AND MURDERED BY THEIR UNHOLY MEN OF GOD.

The U.S. Catholic Church spent $10.6 million on lobbyists to prevent victims of clerical sex abuse from suing for damages.

According to a new report, the money was doled out from 2011 through 2018 in eight northeastern states where bills to reform statute of limitations laws were either in the works or being considered.

“This report lays out what we have known all along — that the Catholic Church refuses to take responsibility for the decades of abuse that took place knowingly under its watch,” said attorney Stephen Weiss, who works for one of the law firms that commissioned the study.

“Statute of limitations reforms give survivors more time to obtain some measure of closure on the atrocities committed against them,” attorney Gerald Williams added. “The church has yet to implement meaningful reforms, and by working to prevent these laws from passing, the church is clearly demonstrating that it does not stand with survivors.”

In Pennsylvania, where currently victims of child sex abuse can come forward with criminal allegations until the age of 50 and can file civil claims until age 30, the church spent $5,322,979 to keep those limitations in place, according to the report, “Church Influencing State: How the Catholic Church Spent Millions Against Survivors of Clergy Abuse.”

The report was commissioned by Seeger Weiss LLP, Williams Cedar LLC, Abraham Watkins and the Simpson Tuegel Law Firm, which collectively represent 300 survivors of clergy sex abuse nationwide. The data in the report was obtained from public filings in the individual states.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro, whose blockbuster grand jury report last year identified 301 “predator priests” in six dioceses who were alleged to have abused more than 1,000 children, has been leading the charge to lift those statutes of limitations.
“The extensive lobbying by the Catholic Church in Pennsylvania against the reforms recommended by the Grand Jury proves what I have said all along: the Church cannot be trusted to police itself,” Shapiro said. “It’s reprehensible that the Church continues to spend significant sums of money fighting these reforms, instead of protecting and supporting the victims of clergy sexual abuse.”

The Pennsylvania Catholic Conference and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops did not return an NBC News request for comment.

In New York, the church spent $2,912,772 in what ultimately was a failed bid to prevent the passage of the Child Victims Act, which Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed into law on Feb. 14. It allows child sexual abuse victims to sue their abuser or institutions until age 55. Previously the cutoff was age 23.

Of that money, 80 percent went to the Catholic Conference Policy Group Inc., which was tasked with lobbying on “statute of limitations, legislative issues and liability issues,” the report found.

“I think it’s incredibly troubling that parishioners who on Sundays contributed to the church collections may have been inadvertently funding lobbying efforts against victims of sex abuse seeking legal redress,” New York State Sen. Brad Hoylman, who championed the Child Victims Act, said. “Three million dollars that went for lobbying could have done a lot of good elsewhere, including soup kitchens, after-school programs for children, support for seniors. In my district, a Catholic school that is closing might perhaps have stayed open if that money had been used for better causes.”

Shortly before the New York state Legislature took up the Child Victims Act, Cardinal Timothy Dolan called in an op-ed published in The New York Daily News for measures that would avoid “breaking” the Roman Catholic Church.

In an email to NBC News, Dennis Poust, a spokesman for the New York State Catholic Conference, said: “All of our lobbying activity is reported as required by law to the Joint Commission on Public Ethics and has always been publicly available.”

“As far as the Child Victims Act, while we did raise concerns about the one-year look back, ultimately when sponsors amended the bill at our request to provide an opportunity for recourse to survivors in public institutions, the Catholic Conference dropped its opposition this year,” he wrote.

When asked for comment, New York Diocese spokesman Joseph Zwilling referred NBC News to Poust.

In Connecticut, where advocates for victims of priest sex abuse are presently pushing for the elimination of statutes of limitations for major sex crimes, the church spent $875,261, according to the report.

The report also said the church spent $633,458 in New Jersey where Gov. Phil Murphy last month signed legislation that allows child victims to sue up until they turn 55 or “within seven years of their first realization that the abuse caused them harm,” according to The Associated Press.

During that time period, the church spent $537,551 in Massachusetts, $124,260 in Maine, and $61,961 in Rhode Island.

“That is completely inaccurate,” said James Driscoll, executive director of the Massachusetts Catholic Conference. “I have no idea where the writer of this report came up with this figure. They never checked with me for any input before they wrote this report.”

And in New Hampshire, where legislation to lift or amend the statute of limitations has yet to be introduced, the church has spent $134,345, according to the report.

Tom Bebbington, a spokesman for the Diocese of Manchester, said it “advocates before the state legislature on issues of importance for the good of all citizens including abortion, assisted suicide, education, preventing human trafficking, and repeal of the death penalty.”

“The services of lobbying professionals were used during the time period of this report for advocacy on all of these issues and more, but no lobbyist was engaged to advocate on behalf of the Diocese on statute of limitations legislation,” he insisted.

David Clohessy, the former director of the Survivor Network of those Abused by Priests, or SNAP, said church funds should never be used to fight clerical abuse victims.

“It’s appalling that parishioners’ donations are used to keep child sex crimes — and those who committed and concealed them — covered up,” said Clohessy. “There’s no better indication of how bishops think and act than where they put their flocks’ funds. And there are few more egregious and reckless ways to spend churchgoers’ contributions than to put their kids at risk by fighting secular reforms that help expose predators.”

Asked if he believes the church was willing to spend that kind of money on lobbyists because it feared payouts for victims would cost 10 times more, Weiss said that appears to be the case.

“The church made the soulless decision to spend 10 million of its dollars to evade its responsibility to those harmed by clergy abuse, rather that use those funds toward the healing process,” he said. “Clearly these expenditures were aimed at protecting the church’s financial interests, not at doing the right thing.”

Legion of Christ finds 33 priests, 71 seminarian sex abusers

Legion of Christ finds 33 priests, 71 seminarian sex abusers
By the Associated Press
https://cruxnow.com/vatican/2019/12/legion-of-christ-finds-33-priests-71-seminarian-sex-abusers/

The Legion of Christ religious order, which was discredited by its pedophile founder and the cult-like practices he imposed, says an internal investigation has identified 33 priests and 71 seminarians who sexually abused minors over the past eight decades.

A third of the priestly abusers were themselves victims of the Legion’s late founder, Father Marcial Maciel Degollado, while others were victims of his victims – a multi-generational chain of abuse that confirms Maciel’s toxic influence spread throughout the order.

The Legion counted 175 victims of the priests, but didn’t provide a number for the victims of the seminarians, most of whom were never ordained and left the congregation.

The Legion released the statistics on Saturday, the same day Pope Francis accepted the resignation of the Legion’s biggest defender at the Vatican, Cardinal Angelo Sodano, as dean of the College of Cardinals.

Sodano, who was secretary of state under St. John Paul II, had for years blocked the Vatican from investigating sex abuse allegations against Maciel, even though the Vatican had documented evidence dating from the 1940s that he was a drug addict and pedophile. Under John Paul, however, Maciel was admired at the Vatican for his supposed orthodoxy and ability to produce donations and vocations.

The Vatican in 2010 took over the Mexico-based Legion and imposed a process of reform after an investigation showed that Maciel had sexually abused seminarians and fathered at least three children with two women. The Vatican found he had created a system of power built on silence, deceit and obedience that enabled him to lead a double life “devoid of any scruples and authentic sense of religion.”

Two-thirds of the Legion’s priestly victims – 60 – were Maciel’s victims, the report found. Most were boys between ages 11 and 16.

The 33 priestly abusers represented 2.44% of the 1,353 Legion priests ordained since 1941, the report found. That percentage is far lower than national averages of credibly accused priests over a similar period in the U.S. or Australia, where the percentages are 5.8 and seven, respectively.

The Legion acknowledged that more victims may come forward with other accusations, and attributed the comparatively low percentage to the fact that 60 of the seminarians who abused weren’t ordained as priests.

The Legion only published the names of four U.S.-based priests who were among the 33 abusers, saying ethical and legal considerations prevented identifying the others. U.S. religious orders and dioceses have been publishing names of credibly accused priests following the re-eruption of the scandal there.

A former Legion priest, Father Christian Borgogno, said the report debunks the Legion’s effort to blame all its problems on Maciel alone and showed that abuse festered far beyond his inner circle.

In a series of tweets, Borgogno questioned the seemingly low number of abusers, noted some had been ordained even after allegations against them were known, and complained that the report said nothing about the web of cover-up that allowed Maciel and others to continue abusing.

The report acknowledged that it was limited in scope, didn’t address issues of abuse of power or conscience, or matters of cover-up and negligence, but said that was an “important pending task.”

It said it was publishing the report as a first step on a “path of reconciliation” with victims, by recognizing the history of abuse in the order.

The Legion leadership is due to consider the report at a general meeting next month.

Yes there is a cure for Roman Catholic Church priest pedophiles and their Pedophile Pimps.

Sexual abuse of minors was rife among superiors of the Legionaries of Christ Catholic religious order, with at least 60 boys abused by its founder Father Marcial Maciel, a report by the group showed.

The report is important because for decades until 2006, including during all of the pontificate of Pope John Paul, the Vatican dismissed accusations by seminarians that Maciel had abused them sexually, some when they were as young as 12.

The order said the report, which was released on Saturday and covers the period since Maciel founded it in his native Mexico in 1941 to this year, was “an additional attempt (by the Legionaries) to confront their history”.

Maciel, who died in 2008, was perhaps the Roman Catholic Church’s most notorious pedophile, even abusing children he had fathered secretly with at least two women while living a double life and being feted by the Vatican and Church conservatives.

Cardinal Angelo Sodano, 92, who was secretary of state under John Paul, was for years one of the Legionaries’ biggest protectors in the Vatican.

Pope Francis accepted his resignation as dean of the college of cardinals on Saturday and simultaneously changed church law to limit the dean’s position to a five-year term, rather than for life.

The Vatican first acknowledged Maciel’s crimes in 2006, when former Pope Benedict ordered him to retire to a life of “prayer and penitence”. But Benedict resisted calls from some in the Church who said the order should be dissolved because it was toxic to the core.

The Vatican instead took over the order in 2010 and began a process of reform.

The new report says that between 1941 and 2019, 175 minors were victims of abuse by 33 priests in the order. At least 60, or about one-third, were abused by Maciel himself, it said.

Most victims were boys between 11 and 16, it said.

ABUSE OF POWER

While the report said the 33 amounted to only 2.44% of the 1,353 priests ordained by the order, it said that nearly 43% of those who committed the abuse were in positions of authority, making it difficult to report or punish the abuse.

“(Abuse) was linked to the abuse of power and conscience on the part of some who took advantage of their posts to abuse,” it said.

Of the 33, six have died, eight have left the priesthood, and one had left the order. Of the 18 who remain members, four have “ministerial restrictions” to keep them away from minors and 14 have no public priestly ministry, the report said.

Seventy-four seminarians studying for the priesthood also abused minors and 81% of them were not ordained.

Father Christian Borgogno, a former member of the order, said that the numbers of those abused were “clearly unlikely” to be accurate and believed that they were much higher.

“It is difficult to think that this is anything more than a whitewash of the (Legionaries’) image,” he said in a tweet. He said the reported lacked “independent sources”.

After Maciel’s death, Vatican investigations found that he had also fathered several children with at least two women, visited them regularly and sent them money. He also used drugs.

Former members have said the order was run like a cult, with rules forbidding any criticism of the founder or questioning of his motives.

They said Maciel gave huge contributions to the Vatican during the papacy of John Paul, who admired the Legionaries’ orthodoxy and ability to produce vocations.

The International Symbol for Unconvicted Pedophiles

I spent the better part of the day reading through the Pennsylvania grand jury’s report about the Catholic Church’s child abuse scandal that occurred in just six dioceses: Allentown, Erie, Greensburg, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, and Scranton.

That may have been a mistake. My mind is numb. I posted something brief yesterday about the document, but that was before going through the detailed accounts of what more than 300 priests did over the course of several decades. Those accounts are so much worse than the news reports indicated because they couldn’t include all these cases.

Most of the priests are dead now. Some of the stories were heavily redacted because the priests are alive and haven’t been charged with a crime. In some cases, the statute of limitations has long expired. But this was always about documenting the abuses more than anything. When you read this report and realize it’s just one group of priests in one state, you have to wonder what the stories would look like if a similar document was produced across the country, if not the world.

So brace yourself.

Here’s a running list of some of the more egregious things you’ll find in the report. It’s not everything. It’s not even everything for these priests. It’s just the stuff that will make your eyes permanently widen. The hope is that by highlighting these stories, people will realize the horrors covered up by the Catholic Church.

Maybe they’ll think twice before ever attending another Mass or donating any of their money to a Catholic school.

Maybe they’ll think twice before ever attending another Mass or donating any of their money to a Catholic school.

  • Father Francis “Frank” Fromholzer asked one girl, when she was 13 or 14, to read a story about Jesus that included the phrase, “the cock crows three times.” He made her repeat that phrase several times. When she left class, he “leaned in and nuzzled her neck and asked the victim if she knew what a cock was.”
  • Father Edward R. Graff was about to anally rape a child, but the victim ran away before it could happen, even though it meant running “into the street, mostly nude.”
  • Father Chester Gawronski fondled and masturbated at least 12 different children by saying he was just showing them “how to check for cancer.” (When one of these stories went public in 2002, Bishop Donald Trautman chastised the victim by arguing that he was only 14 when it happened, not 11 like the article said.)
  • Father William Presley abused three victims, one as young as 13, with “choking, slapping, punching, rape, sodomy, fellatio, anal intercourse,” and more.
  • Father Thomas D. Skotek raped an underage girl, got her pregnant, then paid for her abortion. His Bishop later said, “This is a very difficult time in your life, and I realize how upset you are. I too share your grief.” That letter was addressed to Skotek, not his victim.
  • Father Edmond Parrakow admitted to molesting “approximately thirty-five male children” because sex with girls was “sinful” and raping boys didn’t violate them. One altar boy said Parrakow told them to go naked under their cassocks during Mass because God didn’t want “man-made clothes” touching their skin during services. Parrakow now works in a shopping mall.
  • Father Raymond Lukac “married” a victim the moment she turned 18 by forging the head pastor’s signature on a fake marriage certificate. He eventually married her for real, had a child with her (impregnating her when she was 17), then got a divorce. He stayed in the ministry after being taken in by a “benevolent bishop.”
  • Father Robert Moslener taught middle school kids how to give blowjobs by telling them Mary had to “bite off the cord” and “lick” Jesus clean when he was born.
  • Father Augustine Giella abused five girls in the same family. Among other things, he collected their urine, pubic hair, and menstrual blood in a device attached to his toilet… then he ingested some of it. All of this happened after he worked at a Catholic high school and had been accused of telling a student he wanted to watch her go to the bathroom.
  • Father Arthur Long tried having sex with a 17-year-old at a high school he worked at by saying God wanted them to express love for each other that way. When she said God would punish them, he told her, “there is no Hell.”
  • Father George Zirwas was part of a predatory priest “ring” that “shared intelligence” on victims and exchanged them with each other. They “manufactured child pornography” on church property, using “whips, violence and sadism in raping their victims.”
  • Father Richard Zula asked three altar boys to “pose like statues” and tried to tie them up with rope. Zula also used whips and leather straps on a victim after tying up the person’s hands.
  • Father Robert N. Caparelli raped several boys as young as 10. He was eventually put in prison, where it was discovered he “had been HIV-positive for years.”
  • Monsignor Thomas J. Benestad forced a nine-year-old boy to give him a blowjob, then washed his mouth out with holy water “to purify him.”
  • Reverend David Connell served a high school boy juice. The boy later woke up with no memory of what happened, but there was “bleeding from his rectum.”
  • Reverend Edward George Ganster once dragged a child across a room by his underwear and beat him with a metal cross. He eventually quit the priesthood… but not before receiving a letter of recommendation for his new job… at Walt Disney World.
  • Father Richard J. Guiliani began abusing one girl when she was 14, forcing her to masturbate him and blow him. When she turned 18, he visited her and asked for sex and her hand in marriage. (She declined both.)
  • Reverend Henry Paul is the reason one little girl told her mother she knew how to “French kiss.”
  • Reverend Gerald Royer once molested a 12-year-old boy. The boy’s friend didn’t believe it… until, hidden in a closet, he witnessed the abuse himself. The victim, now 83, fought in wars, yet because of what Royer did, he could never hug or kiss his own children, who were boys. He can’t shake hands with men to this day. He can’t even see male doctors or dentists.
  • Reverend Michael G. Barletta was known to take pictures in a boys’ locker room and maintained a book of “crotch shots.”
  • Father Robert E. Hannon had several male victims, but his diocese dismissed allegations from one girl after Hannon denied it. His argument? He wouldn’t have done it because girls “do not have a penis.”
  • Father Gerard Krebs, a teacher at a Catholic high school, was asked for advice by a student whose girlfriend was pregnant. Krebs conducted a prostate exam to see if the boy was “capable of impregnating a woman.” Another victim said Krebs guided him through “sexual rituals” to “prove my faith and the fact that I was not a homosexual.”
  • Monsignor Daniel Martin and other priests in the seminary had a “fierce competition,” one victim said, to molest boys who didn’t have fathers or had bad relationships with them.
  • Brother Edmundus Murphy encouraged a victim to join their Catholic school’s wrestling team and taught him different moves, naked, because that’s what “the ancient Greeks and Romans did.” During those practices, Murphy sodomized the victim.
  • Father Gregory Flohr took a victim into the confessional and tied him up with rope. When the victim screamed, Flohr shut him up by shoving his penis in the victim’s mouth. When the victim wouldn’t accept it, Flohr sodomized him with a crucifix and called him a “bad boy.”
  • Father Charles B. Guth fondled a boy and stuck his finger up the child’s ass. Then he said to the boy that if their secret ever got out, the child and his mother would both burn in hell. Then he gave the boy a nickel.
  • Father Francis Lesniak told a victim that if he confessed his sins and wasn’t too bad, he’d “get to suck on a strawberry lollipop or popsicle.” After these confessions, which happened multiple times, Lesniak would whip his dick out and say it was a strawberry lollipop.
  • Father Henry J. Marcinek is the reason one victim said as an adult, “I don’t remember the last time I laughed.” That same victim later confessed that “I peed in [Marcinek’s] mouth, because he used to cum in mine” and that he felt like he was “fricking prostituting himself” at the age of 12 or 13.
  • Father Roger J. Trott anally raped a 21-year-old man with Down Syndrome, after which the victim was reportedly hospitalized for “surgery for a blockage of the lower bowel.”
  • Reverend Francis A. Bach had so many victims, then when his diocese confronted him about a particular allegation, he said he didn’t remember it, but responded, “With my history, anything is possible.”
  • Reverend James Beeman raped a seven-year-old in the hospital just after she had “had her tonsils removed.” He raped her again when she was 19 and pregnant.
  • Reverend George Koychick inappropriately touched several little girls. When confronted about it by his diocese, he admitted it, adding, “it was when I was going through a touchy/feely time in my life.”
  • Reverend Guy Marsico admitted to molesting several boys and confessing his sins to another priest. The advice was never to call police or turn himself in. Instead, he was told to “Pray about it and try to get away from it.” Then, when it happened again, he’d receive the same advice.
  • Reverend Patrick Shannon molested a 16-year-old boy during a camping trip. When the boy resisted, Shannon replied, “Sometime [sic] we say no when we really mean yes.”
  • Reverend Timothy Sperber sexually abused a girl no older than 10. When she told the principal of their Catholic school that Sperber “touched her in weird ways,” the principal called her a “demon-child” for making those “terrible accusations.”
  • Reverend Frederick Vaughn abused an 11-year-old girl, wrestling with her on the floor at her family’s home when her father wasn’t around. One time, when she resisted, he said, “I like a fighter.”
  • Reverend Leo Burchianti once entered a bathroom with an underage boy and put his hands down the boy’s shorts. When the boy told Burchianti to stop tickling him, the response was, “I’m not trying to tickle you, I’m trying to grab for something.”
  • Reverend Anthony J. Cipolla took a 9-year-old boy to his rectory bedroom, told the child to take off his clothes, then squeezed his penis a total of 70 times before sticking a finger into his rectum. Later, even though his mother wanted to file criminal charges, she dropped them because “she was threatened and harassed by church officials” and told that she should “let the church handle it.”
  • Reverend David F. Dzermejko fondled a young boy on a Ferris wheel during a church festival. The boy couldn’t get off the ride because Dzermejko told the operator “to keep the ride going three times longer than it should have.”
  • Reverend Bernard J. Kaczmarczyk went into the shower with a 12-year-old boy under the pretext that he needed to make sure the child was “showering properly.”
  • Reverend Anujit Kumar kissed an underage girl with his tongue and sucked her lips. When Church officials asked him about it, he was he was just trying to “recruit her for the convent.”
  • [Redacted] molested a child for years. When the victim turned 15 or 16, he asked the priest to stop and threatened to go public with what had happened. The priest “grabbed him by the throat and threatened to kill him if he told anyone.” He also threatened to tell the victim’s parents he was gay.
  • Monsignor Raymond T. Schultz masturbated in front of a student at their Catholic school. Afterwards, Schultz would give the kid a handkerchief to wipe the semen off his face. To this day, the victim said, he goes from “sad to angry” whenever he sees a white handkerchief.
  • Father Robert E. Spangenberg molested an underage boy several times. He also paid the victim a “finder’s fee” if he could find other young “chickens” for Spangenberg to have sex with.
  • Reverend Paul G. Spisak supposedly took pictures with underage boys in which their swim trunks were down to their ankles. His staff says they saw the pictures… until they disappeared. Spisak may have destroyed the images. A couple of years ago, however, he was arrested for a camera he placed in a mall bathroom. At first he denied it. Then he said he was sick, ran inside a stall, and flushed the memory card down the toilet.
  • Reverend Anthony P. Conmy molested a 10-year-old girl after dropping her friend off at home. He grabbed her wrists, put his hand over her mouth, put his knee in her stomach to hold her down, then said he wouldn’t kill her if she “would lie quietly.”
  • Reverend P. Lawrence Homer told a 14-year-old girl she had the body of an 18-year-old woman. He also commented on her “sex hair.”

That’s just a sampling.

The grand jury also noted how the Church managed to cover all these crimes up as long as they did. Leaders, they said, followed a “playbook for concealing the truth” that consisted of seven steps:

  1. Use euphemisms. (“Never say “rape”; say “inappropriate contact” or “boundary issues.”)
  2. Don’t investigate with trained personnel. (Instead, let clergy members ask the victims “inadequate” questions before judging their own colleagues.)
  3. Evaluate priests at church-run “treatment centers.”
  4. Never say why a priest was removed. (Just say he’s on “sick leave” or something.)
  5. Keep providing priests with living expenses regardless of the allegations.
  6. Transfer the priests if his crime becomes public knowledge. (Send him to a place where “no one will know he is a child abuser.”)
  7. Don’t tell the police. (Keep it “in house.”)

Finally, is there any way to fix this?

Yes, said the grand jury, and they offered a few recommendations:

  • Eliminate the criminal statute of limitations. Pennsylvania law now permits victims to come forward until age 50, but the grand jury said they heard from victims who were, in some cases, in their 70s, but had no legal recourse anymore. They’ve spent their entire lives traumatized by what they went through and an arbitrary cutoff to seek justice is cruel.
  • Let victims sue the diocese in a timely manner. In many cases, victims “ran out of time to sue before they even knew they had a case.” They need a “window” of time in which to sue once they’re aware of the situation. It shouldn’t be closed off before they even know their options.
  • Laws must mandate the reporting of abuse, even in Church. There are too many loopholes in the state law that allowed churches to get away with not letting law enforcement know about what predatory priests were doing.
  • Confidentiality arguments must be tossed aside in criminal cases. The Church had them for decades. In some cases, they gave victims some money to silence them for life.

That second one is receiving criticism from some Catholics. They argue that suing the diocese — and getting money in a victory — would only hurt the parishioners who donated, not the priests who committed the acts or the others who covered it up. Though the flip side of that says… who cares? If the congregation is giving money to an organization complicit in these crimes, a lawsuit would teach them to stop donating to the church.

By the way, as of this writing, the Vatican hasn’t said anything.

Vatican press office said this morning that they have no comment on the grand jury report, and would not even say if Vatican officials have read it.

— Daniel Burke (@BurkeCNN) August 15, 2018

That says a lot, doesn’t it? Do they think people will just forget about it in a few days? An apology isn’t enough. The Church ought to be tougher on these priests than the law. They need to explain why the abuse was so pervasive and why they cover-up was so rampant. This wasn’t a bad apple. This is a rotten orchard surrounding the entire Vatican.
