Former Knoxville Police Detective and Pastor Grayson Fitts of the All Scripture Baptist Church in Knoxville Tennessee: A Knoxville pastor is under fire for calling for the deaths of homosexuals.

Continues McDurmon, “The evangelical mantra has always been ‘hate the sin but love the sinner,’ which is good pastoral advice to a large degree, but even this piece of folk-wisdom falls short of the biblical standard. God and His spokesmen reveal a clear role for hate of both sin (Ps. 97:10; 101:3; 119:104, 113, 128, 163; 139:21, 22) and the sinners themselves (Ps. 5:5; 11:5; 26:5; 31:6; Mal. 1:1–3; Rom. 9:13) in some circumstances.”
In McDurmon’s view, the Bible speaks clearly on homosexuality.
“God has revealed that specific sins are also civil crimes…. God also reveals specific punishments for specific civil crimes,” he writes. “He revealed that some civil crimes require restitution, a few require the death penalty. Where God says a civil crime deserves the death penalty, I propose that we keep in step with the first greatest commandment and recognize His total sovereignty in heart, soul, strength, and mind.
“Now, it just so happens that God revealed that the homosexual act is a civil crime, and it just so happens that He revealed that the homosexual act as a civil crime deserves the death penalty,” McDurmon continues.
In AV’s view, homosexuality is just one among many crimes that merit the death penalty. Christian Reconstructionists call for the death penalty for as many as 20 offenses, including adultery, homosexuality, fornication, witchcraft, incorrigible juvenile delinquency and spreading false religions.

Pastor David Berzins recently slammed a fellow pastor for not supporting Pastor Steven Anderson’s call for homosexuals to be put to death per the Bible.

Pastor Berzins, of the Word of Truth Baptist Church in Prescott, Arizona, was furious that an unidentified preacher asked to have his church removed from Pastor Anderson’s Faithful Word Baptist Church directory web site, noted RawStory.com (video below).
Pastor Berzins called the offending pastor and (pastors like him) “limp-wristed,” reports the Daily Kos, for not standing “against the homosexual agenda.”

The Bishop of Limoges (France) in 1010 had the cities’ Jews, who would not convert to Christianity, expelled or killed.
Second Crusade: 1147. Several hundred Jews were slain in Ham, Sully, Carentan, and Rameru (all locations in France).

1492: In the year Columbus set sail to conquer a New World, more than 150,000 Jews were expelled from Spain, many died on their way: 6/30/1492.
1648 Chmielnitzki massacres: In Poland about 200,000 Jews were slain.
The Holocaust saw the internment and execution of an estimated six million European Jews between 1933 and 1945. The process that led up to the Holocaust and the justifications for the actions of the Nazis were deeply rooted in misrepresentations and misinterpretations of scripture by some of humanity’s worst people.[9] The Nazis were amazing propagandists who utilized people’s beliefs and prejudices to turn the German public against the Jews.

Beginning with Columbus (a former slave trader and would-be Holy Crusader) the conquest of the New World began, as usual understood as a means to propagate Christianity.
Within hours of landfall on the first inhabited island he encountered in the Caribbean, Columbus seized and carried off six native people who, he said, “ought to be good servants … [and] would easily be made Christians, because it seemed to me that they belonged to no religion.”
While Columbus described the Indians as “idolators” and “slaves, as many as [the Crown] shall order,” his pal Michele de Cuneo, Italian nobleman, referred to the natives as “beasts” because “they eat when they are hungry,” and made love “openly whenever they feel like it.”
On every island he set foot on, Columbus planted a cross, “making the declarations that are required” – the requerimiento – to claim the ownership for his Catholic patrons in Spain. And “nobody objected.” If the Indians refused or delayed their acceptance (or understanding), the requerimiento continued:
I certify to you that, with the help of God, we shall powerfully enter in your country and shall make war against you … and shall subject you to the yoke and obedience of the Church … and shall do you all mischief that we can, as to vassals who do not obey and refuse to receive their lord and resist and contradict him.”
Likewise in the words of John Winthrop, first governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony: “justifieinge the undertakeres of the intended Plantation in New England … to carry the Gospell into those parts of the world, … and to raise a Bulworke against the kingdome of the Ante-Christ.”
In average two thirds of the native population were killed by colonist-imported smallpox before violence began. This was a great sign of “the marvelous goodness and providence of God” to the Christians of course, e.g. the Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony wrote in 1634, as “for the natives, they are near all dead of the smallpox, so as the Lord hath cleared our title to what we possess.”
On Hispaniola alone, on Columbus visits, the native population (Arawak), a rather harmless and happy people living on an island of abundant natural resources, a literal paradise, soon mourned 50,000 dead.
The surviving Indians fell victim to rape, murder, enslavement and spanish raids.
As one of the culprits wrote: “So many Indians died that they could not be counted, all through the land the Indians lay dead everywhere. The stench was very great and pestiferous.”
The indian chief Hatuey fled with his people but was captured and burned alive. As “they were tying him to the stake a Franciscan friar urged him to take Jesus to his heart so that his soul might go to heaven, rather than descend into hell. Hatuey replied that if heaven was where the Christians went, he would rather go to hell.” [SH70]
What happened to his people was described by an eyewitness:
“The Spaniards found pleasure in inventing all kinds of odd cruelties … They built a long gibbet, long enough for the toes to touch the ground to prevent strangling, and hanged thirteen [natives] at a time in honor of Christ Our Saviour and the twelve Apostles… then, straw was wrapped around their torn bodies and they were burned alive.”
Or, on another occasion:
“The Spaniards cut off the arm of one, the leg or hip of another, and from some their heads at one stroke, like butchers cutting up beef and mutton for market. Six hundred, including the cacique, were thus slain like brute beasts…Vasco [de Balboa] ordered forty of them to be torn to pieces by dogs.”
The “island’s population of about eight million people at the time of Columbus’s arrival in 1492 already had declined by a third to a half before the year 1496 was out.” Eventually all the island’s natives were exterminated, so the Spaniards were “forced” to import slaves from other caribbean islands, who soon suffered the same fate. Thus “the Caribbean’s millions of native people [were] thereby effectively liquidated in barely a quarter of a century”.
“In less than the normal lifetime of a single human being, an entire culture of millions of people, thousands of years resident in their homeland, had been exterminated.”
“And then the Spanish turned their attention to the mainland of Mexico and Central America. The slaughter had barely begun. The exquisite city of Tenochtitln [Mexico city] was next.”
Cortez, Pizarro, De Soto and hundreds of other spanish conquistadors likewise sacked southern and mesoamerican civilizations in the name of Christ (De Soto also sacked Florida).
“When the 16th century ended, some 200,000 Christian Spaniards had moved to the Americas. By that time probably more than 60,000,000 natives were dead.”
Of course no different were the founders of what today is the US of Amerikkka.
Although none of the settlers would have survived winter without native help, they soon set out to expel and exterminate the Indians. Warfare among (north American) Indians was rather harmless, in comparison to European standards, and was meant to avenge insults rather than conquer land. In the words of some of the pilgrim fathers: “Their Warres are farre less bloudy…”, so that there usually was “no great slawter of nether side”. Indeed, “they might fight seven yeares and not kill seven men.” What is more, the Indians usually spared women and children.
In the spring of 1612 some English colonists found life among the (generally friendly and generous) natives attractive enough to leave Jamestown – “being idell … did runne away unto the Indyans,” – to live among them (that probably solved a sex problem).
“Governor Thomas Dale had them hunted down and executed: ‘Some he apointed (sic) to be hanged Some burned Some to be broken upon wheles, others to be staked and some shott to deathe’.”
Of course these elegant measures were restricted for fellow englishmen: “This was the treatment for those who wished to act like Indians. For those who had no choice in the matter, because they were the native people of Virginia” methods were different: “when an Indian was accused by an Englishman of stealing a cup and failing to return it, the English response was to attack the natives in force, burning the entire community” down.
On the territory that is now Massachusetts the founding fathers of the colonies were committing genocide, in what has become known as the “Peqout War”. The killers were New England Puritan Christians, refugees from persecution in their own home country England.
When however, a dead colonist was found, apparently killed by Narragansett Indians, the Puritan colonists wanted revenge. Despite the Indian chief’s pledge they attacked.
Somehow they seem to have lost the idea of what they were after, because when they were greeted by Pequot Indians (long-time foes of the Narragansetts) the troops nevertheless made war on the Pequots and burned their villages.
The puritan commander-in-charge John Mason after one massacre wrote: “And indeed such a dreadful Terror did the Almighty let fall upon their Spirits, that they would fly from us and run into the very Flames, where many of them perished … God was above them, who laughed his Enemies and the Enemies of his People to Scorn, making them as a fiery Oven … Thus did the Lord judge among the Heathen, filling the Place with dead Bodies”: men, women, children.
So “the Lord was pleased to smite our Enemies in the hinder Parts, and to give us their land for an inheritance”.
Because of his readers’ assumed knowledge of Deuteronomy, there was no need for Mason to quote the words that immediately follow: “Thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth. But thou shalt utterly destroy them…” (Deut 20)
Mason’s comrade Underhill recalled how “great and doleful was the bloody sight to the view of the young soldiers” yet reassured his readers that “sometimes the Scripture declareth women and children must perish with their parents”.
Other Indians were killed in successful plots of poisoning. The colonists even had dogs especially trained to kill Indians and to devour children from their mothers breasts, in the colonists’ own words: “blood Hounds to draw after them, and Mastives to seaze them.” (This was inspired by spanish methods of the time)
In this way they continued until the extermination of the Pequots was near.
The surviving handful of Indians “were parceled out to live in servitude. John Endicott and his pastor wrote to the governor asking for ‘a share’ of the captives, specifically ‘a young woman or girle and a boy if you thinke good’.”
Other tribes were to follow the same path.
Comment the Christian exterminators: “God’s Will, which will at last give us cause to say: How Great is His Goodness! and How Great is his Beauty!”
“Thus doth the Lord Jesus make them to bow before him, and to lick the Dust!”
Like today, lying was OK to Christians then. “Peace treaties were signed with every intention to violate them: when the Indians ‘grow secure uppon (sic) the treatie’, advised the Council of State in Virginia, ‘we shall have the better Advantage both to surprise them, & cutt downe theire Corne’.”
In 1624 sixty heavily armed Englishmen cut down 800 defenseless Indian men, women and children.
In a single massacre in “King Philip’s War” of 1675 and 1676 some “600 Indians were destroyed. A delighted Cotton Mather, revered pastor of the Second Church in Boston, later referred to the slaughter as a ‘barbeque’.”
To summarize:
Before the arrival of the English, the western Abenaki people in New Hampshire and Vermont had numbered 12,000. Less than half a century later about 250 remained alive – a destruction rate of 98%. The Pocumtuck people had numbered more than 18,000, fifty years later they were down to 920 – 95% destroyed. The Quiripi-Unquachog people had numbered about 30,000, fifty years later they were down to 1500 – 95% destroyed. The Massachusetts people had numbered at least 44,000, fifty years later barely 6000 were alive – 81% destroyed. These are only a few examples of the multitude of tribes living before Christian colonists set their foot on the New World. All this was before the smallpox epidemics of 1677 and 1678 had occurred. And the carnage was not over then.
All the above was only the beginning of the European colonization, it was before the frontier age actually had begun.
A total of maybe more than 150 million Indians (of both Americas) were destroyed in the period of 1500 to 1900, as an average two thirds by smallpox and other epidemics, that leaves some 50 million killed directly by violence, bad treatment and slavery.
In many countries, such as Brazil, and Guatemala, this continues even today.

Reverend Solomon Stoddard, one of New England’s most esteemed religious leaders, in “1703 formally proposed to the Massachusetts Governor that the colonists be given the financial wherewithal to purchase and train large packs of dogs ‘to hunt Indians as they do bears’.”
Massacre of Sand Creek, Colorado 11/29/1864. Colonel John Chivington, a former Methodist minister and still elder in the church (“I long to be wading in gore”) had a Cheyenne village of about 600, mostly women and children, gunned down despite the chiefs’ waving with a white flag: 400-500 killed.
From an eye-witness account: “There were some thirty or forty squaws collected in a hole for protection; they sent out a little girl about six years old with a white flag on a stick; she had not proceeded but a few steps when she was shot and killed. All the squaws in that hole were afterwards killed …”
By the 1860s, “in Hawai’i the Reverend Rufus Anderson surveyed the carnage that by then had reduced those islands’ native population by 90 percent or more, and he declined to see it as tragedy; the expected total die-off of the Hawaiian population was only natural, this missionary said, somewhat equivalent to ‘the amputation of diseased members of the body’.”

Catholic extermination camps Surpisingly few know that Nazi extermination camps in World War II were by no means the only ones in Europe at the time. In the years 1942-1943 also in Croatia existed numerous extermination camps, run by Catholic Ustasha under their dictator Ante Paveli, a practising Catholic and regular visitor to the then pope. There were even concentration camps exclusively for children!
In these camps – the most notorious was Jasenovac, headed by a Franciscan friar – orthodox-Christian serbians (and a substantial number of Jews) were murdered. Like the Nazis the Catholic Ustasha burned their victims in kilns, alive (the Nazis were decent enough to have their victims gassed first). But most of the victims were simply stabbed, slain or shot to death, the number of them being estimated between 300,000 and 600,000, in a rather tiny country. Many of the killers were Franciscan friars. The atrocities were appalling enough to induce bystanders of the Nazi “Sicherheitsdient der SS”, watching, to complain about them to Hitler (who did not listen). The pope knew about these events and did nothing to prevent them.
Catholic terror in Vietnam In 1954 Vietnamese freedom fighters – the Viet Minh – had finally defeated the French colonial government in North Vietnam, which by then had been supported by U.S. funds amounting to more than $2 billion. Although the victorious assured religious freedom to all (most non-buddhist Vietnamese were Catholics), due to huge anticommunist propaganda campaigns many Catholics fled to the South. With the help of Catholic lobbies in Washington and Cardinal Spellman, the Vatican’s spokesman in U.S. politics, who later on would call the U.S. forces in Vietnam “Soldiers of Christ”, a scheme was concocted to prevent democratic elections which could have brought the communist Viet Minh to power in the South as well, and the fanatic Catholic Ngo Dinh Diem was made president of South Vietnam.
Diem saw to it that U.S. aid, food, technical and general assistance was given to Catholics alone, Buddhist individuals and villages were ignored or had to pay for the food aids which were given to Catholics for free. The only religious denomination to be supported was Roman Catholicism.
The Vietnamese McCarthyism turned even more vicious than its American counterpart. By 1956 Diem promulgated a presidential order which read:
“Individuals considered dangerous to the national defense and common security may be confined by executive order, to a concentration camp.“
Supposedly to fight communism, thousands of buddhist protesters and monks were imprisoned in “detention camps.” Out of protest dozens of buddhist teachers – male and female – and monks poured gasoline over themselves and burned themselves. (Note that Buddhists burned themselves: in comparison Christians tend to burn others). Meanwhile some of the prison camps, which in the meantime were filled with Protestant and even Catholic protesters as well, had turned into no-nonsense death camps. It is estimated that during this period of terror (1955-1960) at least 24,000 were wounded – mostly in street riots – 80,000 people were executed, 275,000 had been detained or tortured, and about 500,000 were sent to concentration or detention camps.
To support this kind of government in the next decade thousands of American GI’s lost their life….
Rwanda Massacres In 1994 in the small african country of Rwanda in just a few months several hundred thousand civilians were butchered, apparently a conflict of the Hutu and Tutsi ethnic groups.
For quite some time I heard only rumours about Catholic clergy actively involved in the 1994 Rwanda massacres. Odd denials of involvement were printed in Catholic church journals, before even anybody had openly accused members of the church.
Then, 10/10/96, in the newscast of S2 Aktuell, Germany – a station not at all critical to Christianity – the following was stated:
“Anglican as well as Catholic priests and nuns are suspect of having actively participated in murders. Especially the conduct of a certain Catholic priest has been occupying the public mind in Rwanda’s capital Kigali for months. He was minister of the church of the Holy Family and allegedly murdered Tutsis in the most brutal manner. He is reported to have accompanied marauding Hutu militia with a gun in his cowl. In fact there has been a bloody slaughter of Tutsis seeking shelter in his parish. Even two years after the massacres many Catholics refuse to set foot on the threshold of their church, because to them the participation of a certain part of the clergy in the slaughter is well established. There is almost no church in Rwanda that has not seen refugees – women, children, old – being brutally butchered facing the crucifix.
According to eyewitnesses clergymen gave away hiding Tutsis and turned them over to the machetes of the Hutu militia.
In connection with these events again and again two Benedictine nuns are mentioned, both of whom have fled into a Belgian monastery in the meantime to avoid prosecution. According to survivors one of them called the Hutu killers and led them to several thousand people who had sought shelter in her monastery. By force the doomed were driven out of the churchyard and were murdered in the presence of the nun right in front of the gate. The other one is also reported to have directly cooperated with the murderers of the Hutu militia. In her case again witnesses report that she watched the slaughtering of people in cold blood and without showing response. She is even accused of having procured some petrol used by the killers to set on fire and burn their victims alive…”

Christian Pastor Calls for Execution of Gays at Event Attended by Ted Cruz
Pastor Kevin Swanson called for gays and lesbians to be executed—at a “religious liberty” confab attended from one legitimate candidate for the GOP nomination and two clowns from the kids’ table.
Conservative Christian Pastor Steven Anderson openly called for executing every gay person in America during a Sunday sermon at his church in Tempe, Arizona. He claimed from the pulpit that gays need to be put to death in the name of God by Christmas Day in an effort to wipe out AIDS, even though AIDS is not a virus exclusive to the LGBT community. Anderson opined
Turn to Leviticus 20:13, because I actually discovered the cure for AIDS. Megachurch Pastor says ‘gays must be put to death’
Claiming that being gay is a choice like drug abuse, the senior pastor for a megachurch in Tennessee says that “gays must be put to death” because God commands it.
Last Sunday, Brainerd Baptist Church Senior Pastor Robby Gallaty told his large congregation that Christians should never stop discriminating against homosexuals, claiming that gays could choose to be straight if they only accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Gallaty explained why gays should be put to death:
God said that the sins of the people had infected the very land in which they live. So what happens to people who engage in this activity, this sexual immoral activity? Go to Leviticus 20, God gives us the punishment for engaging in these sins… ‘If a man sleeps with a man as with a woman, they have both committed a detestable thing. They must be put to death. And their blood is on their own hands.’

Pastor Who Works for TN Police Dept. Says Gays Should Be Executed By Police
All Scripture Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee is one of those New Independent Fundamentalist Baptist churches that preaches hate, especially against LGBTQ people. A statement on the church’s website says “No homosexual will be allowed to attend or join All Scripture Baptist Church”… which is troubling since it implies a gay person actually wanted to attend that church.
Last week, Pastor Greg Fritts did what so many of these nasty pastors (Nastors?) do and said the Bible calls for the execution of LGBTQ people at the hands of the government. (It begins around the 27:04 mark. Update: The original video was taken down by YouTube. I still possess a copy. But for now, I’m posting a different version below.)

The sermon sparked an investigation by the Knox County District Attorney’s Office, which put out a statement saying it is further looking into the incident and will take action accordingly.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office also put out a statement after reports surfaced that Fritts worked in the office. The statement said he is on paid leave until his buy out request if processed.
“I want to be very clear that it is my responsibility to ensure equal protection to ALL citizens of Knox County, Tennessee under the law, my oath and the United States Constitution without discrimination or hesitation. Rest assured that I have and will continue to do so,” Knox County Sheriff Tom Spangler said in the statement.

Charles L. Worley of Providence Road Baptist Church came under fire last week after a YouTube video showed him calling for gays and lesbians to be locked behind an electrified fence and left to die.

Anti-gay pastor who claimed Orlando massacre victims got “what they deserve” will probably spend the rest of his life in prison.
Pastor Ken Adkins was sentenced to life for aggravated child molestation earlier this week. Adkins will be eligible for parole after 35 years, but by that time he will be over 90 years old, and more than likely dead. If he does manage to live long enough to be released, he will spend the remainder of his life on probation.
Adkins, who had congregations in Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Brunswick, Georgia, was arrested late last summer on eight charges of child molestation and aggravated child molestation.
Before his arrest the controversial Georgia pastor had been a vocal and determined opponent of LGBT rights, and even went so far as to celebrate a horrific mass shooting that left 49 dead and scores more wounded at a gay nightclub in Florida.

In an interview with atheist YouTuber Skylar Fiction, Powell explained that the government should execute gay people. (It’s terrifying that anyone, much less a young person, would believe this. Yet it’s not out of the ordinary for someextremist Christians.)

Skylar probed further and asked if Powell really believed gay people should be killed.
There may be a Bible-based way to get out of that conversation, but Powell either didn’t know or didn’t care. He was happy to take the bait and run with it around the 8:05 mark.
SKYLAR: … you don’t believe that gay people should be stoned to death, do you?
POWELL: I believe the Bible puts the death penalty on it. Obviously, not by me or anybody in a regular society, obviously. I believe it’s the government’s job to execute criminals. I believe that the Bible says clearly that homosexuality is a criminal crime. It’s a crime. It’s one of the worst crimes ever.
SKYLAR: … Is that what you’re advocating for? That our government should stone gays to death to execute them?
POWELL: By whatever means they execute people. And obviously, I believe in humane, you know, putting to death.
SKYLAR: I think that’s a contradiction, what you’re saying. You can’t use the word “humane” and then say you’re gonna kill people who are gay.
POWELL: Right, but the thing is, I mean, whatever our government says, as far as, like, for a death penalty, I think should go for them.
SKYLAR: Wait… but no… you’re saying you agree the government should create laws… in order to execute gay people. That’s what you’re telling me?
POWELL: Absolutely!
SKYLAR: Okay.
POWELL: That’s what the Bible says. I believe the Bible. I didn’t write the Bible.
Skylar also asked if divorce or adultery warranted the death penalty. The answer, which Powell eventually sputtered out, was yes. Because that’s what the Bible commands. The same thing applied, he added, even when talking about his own kids being seriously disobedient.

A leading Christian website has published a column in which a preacher and author describes 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg as bringing the “death rattle of a nation” with his homosexuality.
Writing for Charisma News, a website associated with the popular Christian magazine Charisma, Bert Farias decried how people are celebrating that a presidential candidate is publicly introducing, and even “kisses without shame,” his husband in the name of progressivism.
“The constant compromising of preachers to avoid controversy is creating much damage—not only to the world, which is looking for a clear sound from preachers, but also to believers who have little discernment or are growing tired of ambiguity,” Farias wrote.
“For example, one very influential and popular minister who has millions of followers was asked if homosexuality was wrong, and his general response was that his views were evolving. Evolving? That’s like saying the Bible is evolving. How pathetic of an answer.
“In fact, when those who practice such things that are ‘deserving of death’ also approve of others who practice them (Rom. 1:32), it is one of God’s final signs of His wrath on a society.
“This is a description of gay activism and constantly pushing for its normalcy and marginalizing those who disapprove. This is present-day America. How far we’ve fallen.”
Farias went on to claim that the shock factor of seeing two men kiss has been so reduced so much that “the rest of us are numb and desensitized to this most shameful and abominable behavior.”
Farias also suggested it was hypocritical to attack President Donald Trump over accusations of adultery and sexual assault if you do not question Buttigieg’s “abominable lifestyle.”
He added Trump has apologized for his past behavior, including boasting how he grabs woman “by the p****,” whereas Buttigieg is “pushing his homosexuality, not apologizing for it.”
“Buttigieg and others of his kind will do everything in his power to normalize homosexual relationships even more in the eyes of America,” Farias added. “They are products of what the Bible calls a “debased mind” or a mind void of judgment (Rom. 1:24, 26, 28) that God Himself has given them over to.
“Buttigieg will also do his best to marginalize those who are convinced that these relationships are contrary to the will of God.”
Buttigieg and his husband Chastern have been the subject of a number of homophobic slurs during the former South Bend mayor’s surprising rise to one of the frontrunners for the 2020 Democratic candidacy.
Buttigieg was also confronted by protesters from a group called Queers Against Pete at a fundraising event at the National LGBTQ Center for the Arts in San Francisco on Friday.

Theodore Shoebat, an antigay Christian extremist best known for his horrific video rants and columns published by right wing blogs, called for the execution of gay church leaders on Friday. Shoebat focused primarily on gay priests, claiming the Vatican is riddled with “homosexual hornets nests.”
In a lengthy and rambling video blog post, Shoebat listed multiple times he has tried to imitate other right wing video makers who ask controversial questions of unsuspecting authorities in the hopes that they’ll misspeak or say something that can be twisted to fit the filmmakers ideology. Shoebat’s post is full of complaints about Catholic leaders who’ve ignored his antics or shut him down entirely.
Shoebat claimed that gay priests and ministers are “suicide bombers” intent on infiltrating the church as a way to discredit Christianity.
“Once they become a pastor or a priest, they begin their destruction. And they only do this for one reason, and that is to make the church look bad, to make the church evil,” he said in the podcast. “It’s obvious that Satan knows homosexuality is evil and it’s also obvious to me that these very sodomites who enter the church, they as well know that homosexuality is evil because they do this so that other people can say, ‘See, this is Christianity.'”
“Civilization has no room for homosexuality.” Shoebat said in the video, as he pointed out that the Catholic Church once persecuted any priests discovered to be gay. They “would be delivered to the secular authorities and put to death,” he said, lamenting “it’s just too damn bad that we don’t have these laws being enacted any more.”
As Joe.My.God. blogger Joe Jervis points out, Shoebat is a darling of other religious opponents of LGBT rights.
“Shoebat currently appears in an anti-LGBT film created by hate group leader Janet Porter which also stars Porno Pete [Peter LaBarbera], Mike Huckabee, Rand Paul, and other anti-LGBT activists,” Jervis wrote. “Shoebat regularly calls for the genocide of homosexuals, atheists, and Christians who support LGBT rights. It’s what Jesus would want.”

With the judge’s ruling, the so-called Sodomite Suppression Act will not move forward to the signature-gathering phase and cannot be placed on a future ballot. The proposal, submitted by Huntington Beach, Calif., attorney Matthew McLaughlin, sought to authorize the murder of gays and lesbians by “bullets to the head” or “any other convenient method.”
“This proposed act is the product of bigotry, seeks to promote violence, is patently unconstitutional and has no place in a civil society,” California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris said in a statement Tuesday.

c) No person shall distribute, perform, or transmit sodomistic propaganda directly or indirectly by any means to any person under the age of majority. Sodomistic propaganda is defined as anything aimed at creating an interest in or an acceptance of human sexual relations other than between a man and a woman. Every offender shall be fined $1 million per occurrence, and/or imprisoned up to 10 years, and/or expelled from the boundaries of the state of California for up to life.
d) No person shall serve in any public office, nor serve in public employment, nor enjoy any public benefit, who is a sodomite or who espouses sodomistic propaganda or who belongs to any group that does.
e) This law is effective immediately and shall not be rendered ineffective nor invalidated by any court, state or federal, until heard by a quorum of the Supreme Court of California consisting only of judges who are neither sodomites nor subject to disqualification hereunder.
f) The state has an affirmative duty to defend and enforce this law as written, and every member of the public has standing to seek its enforcement and obtain reimbursement for all costs and attorney’s fees in so doing, and further, should the state persist in inaction over 1 year after due notice, the general public is empowered and deputized to execute all the provisions hereunder extra-judicially, immune from any charge and indemnified by the state against any and all liability.
g) This law shall be known as “The Sodomite Suppression Act” and be numbered as section 39 in Title 3 of the Penal Code, pertaining to offences against the sovereignty of the state. The text shall be prominently posted in every public school classroom. All laws in conflict with this law are to that extent invalid
‘Shoot the Gays’ initiative countered by ‘Intolerant Jackass Act’
A Southern California attorney’s “shoot the gays” initiative is apparently headed for circulation. While some of its would-be targets have asked the State Bar to take action against the author, a local writer, politician and TV commentator is suggesting a more in-your-face expression of disapproval: the “Intolerant Jackass Act.”
Charlotte Laws said she mailed her proposed ballot initiative to the state attorney general’s office on Monday with the same $200 fee that attorney Matt McLaughlin paid last month to submit his initiative, which he titled the “Sodomite Suppression Act.” Warning of “God’s just wrath” for “tolerating wickedness in our midst,” McLaughlin’s measure would require that anyone who touches a person of the same gender for sexual gratification be put to death “by bullets to the head or by any other convenient method.” It would also make advocacy of gay rights, to an audience that includes minors, a crime punishable by 10 years in prison and permanent expulsion from California.
Laws’ initiative, which invokes the “love of liberty and tolerance,” would label the author of any ballot measure calling for the killing of gays and lesbians an “intolerant jackass.” Such a person would have to attend at least three hours a month of sensitivity training for a year and contribute $5,000 to a pro-gay or pro-lesbian organization.
It was “just a way to speak back to this intolerant individual lawyer in Orange County,” Laws told The Chronicle on Tuesday, a day after her counter-stroke was first reported by Slate.com. “I felt that ridiculing him was the best way to take away his power. … It basically gives our state a bad name.
Laws is an activist against revenge porn and has been a neighborhood council member and a city commissioner in Los Angeles.
She said she doesn’t intend to actually circulate the initiative for the November 2016 ballot, but has submitted it to Attorney General Kamala Harris’ office for an official title and summary, just like McLaughlin. Legal analysts have generally agreed that Harris is required by law to issue a title and summary to anyone who pays the filing fee, thus clearing the measure for circulation — even if, like a proposal to murder one’s fellow citizens, it’s obviously unconstitutional. Harris is scheduled to clear McLaughlin’s measure in early May.
McLaughlin, who practices law in Huntington Beach, has been an attorney since 1998. In 2004 he proposed another initiative that would have distributed the King James bible as literature to students in California public schools. He hasn’t given interviews on his current initiative proposal.
An initiative needs 365,000 valid signatures to make the ballot. Even if McLaughlin could collect that many signatures, the state Supreme Court has the power to remove measures from the ballot on constitutional grounds.

Pastor Sean Harris of the Barean Baptist Church in Fayetteville, N.C. retracted the statements of violence but continued to defend his comments about the “importance of gender distinctions that God created,” as well his condemnation of homosexuality, citing the Bible. But he was not able to explain other passages in the Bible, such as those condoning slavery, saying he didn’t realize the interview would “slant and redirect the conversation.”
“I had no idea that the video would be chopped and posted in the blogosphere in a such a manner in which the entirety isn’t understood,” Harris said in an interview on my radio program on SiriusXM OutQ yesterday. “Those were not the best choice of words. If I had to do it over again again I would not choose those words. I was using hyperbole in an effort to communicate the importance of the gender distinctions that God created. I would offer an apology to anyone I have offended. I don’t make an apology for those gender distinctions that are the word of God.”
