Accusations Against Christians — A Reprise

But then there are individuals like the owner of Chick-fil-A who became the brunt of accusations because of his stand for monogamous, heterosexual marriage. He too was accused of being hateful.

Funny isn’t it? A Christian baker cries demanding that no one can tell a Christian? Who they can or should do business with if it goes against their Christian religious beliefs.

So? I guess adultery is no longer a crime or a sin according to Christians. But homosexuality still is. Because a Christian baker? Will refuse to bake a cake for an lgbt because the bible condemns homosexuality and gives it a death penalty punishment. BUT? If a Christian who is an adulterer comes in to that same baker and asks them to bake their cake for their next wedding? The Christian baker has no problem baking their cake. Even though? Adultery is condemned a thousand times more in the bible and given the same death penalty punishment as it gives to homosexuals.

Same as the business owner of Chik-fil-a will cry about lgbts getting their civil rights to marry, but hey they are all for the “sacredness of a man and woman Christian marriage”. But in their hypocrisy? Just like the baker who refused to bake a cake for a gay or lesbian couples wedding? The owner of Chik-Fil-A has no problem doing business with those who would be condemned under the adultry rules in his bible he loves to cherry pick his verses from to speak out against lgbts getting married, but not his fellow Christian adulterers, on their second, third or even fourth sacred marriage.

We can use that Kim Davis as another example. Again? By ALL readings of the bible? Kim Davis? Is an unrepentant adulteress. The bible? Says that adulterers are abominations and should be put to death. But of course? Hypocrite Kim proclaims the sacredness of a Christian marriage, and how lgbts should not be allowed to have a sacred marriage, while old Kim? Would be dragged out along with her current third husband and stoned to death for adultery.

Oh and then? Christians can tell private businesses like Starbucks, or Dunkin Donuts? What to put on their holiday cups and if they do not put Merry Christimas? Or Happy Birthday Baby Jesus? Or of a store does not put up Christian Xmas decorations the day after Halloween and start playing Christmas music too? Then???

But then again? Rebecca Luella Miller cries about the “persecution” of the cherry picking, buybull thumping hypocrite business owner of Chick-Fil-A. I wonder if she does the same for all those Christian adulterers out there. BTW…how many Christians working for Chick-fil-a? Are on their second, or third sacred Christian marriage too? Boy, you cherry-picking, buybull thumping hypocrites of Christianity? Never ceases to amaze me.

A Christian Worldview of Fiction

There’s quite a litany of accusations against Christians these days, from both non-Christians and others who call themselves Christians. Those charges include things such as Christians can’t do art or create good speculative fiction. More seriously, some say Christians are greedy and hypocritical and hateful.

Sadly a selection of very visible individuals or groups claiming the name of Christ have reinforced some of these ideas—pastors who end up having affairs, televangelists who preach health-and-wealth rather than sacrificial giving, sign-waving funeral crashers who condemn rather than present the good news.

But then there are individuals like the owner of Chick-fil-A who became the brunt of accusations because of his stand for monogamous, heterosexual marriage. He too was accused of being hateful.

Recently, as I was reading Scripture, I realized, we might as well get used to these sorts of recriminations. All the way back in the Old Testament, people proclaiming the…
